Niykee who's had a whirlwind few years including being chosen by Snoop to sing with him on The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine despite this. She is a constant magnet for producers who are just getting started. A lot of tracks she gets are a source of song ideas. In just 5 seconds that I can determine if a particular beat is worthwhile. After that I am able to see the concept of a complete song inside my head and begin to compose. I get the words whenever I'm outside on the patio, playing my guitar. It usually takes under 30 minutes. Niykee says that when she grows as a lyricist and musician, her memories of her childhood are an source of inspiration. Although I don't write in a literal way about what has been a part of my life, all the hurt of growing up and loss of my sister being incorporated into my lyrics, she says. This influences my music and creates a deeper significance behind everything that is one the most important things for me.
