sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946, as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He is the son of Francesco Stallone Jr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). Frank Stallone Sr, his younger brother is an actor, musician and hairdresser. The complications of childbirth led to the lower left portion of Sylvester's visage to be disabled, giving him his iconic "snarling" look and slightly slurred speech. Due to the conflicting relationship between his parents, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. The couple eventually divorced. Stallone did his studies in drama at American College in Switzerland, before transferring to the University of Miami. Before completing his degree in the fall of 1964, he quit his school and moved to New York City in order to pursue acting as a profession.
