
Constance Marie Lopez (born September 9, 1965)[1] is an American actress. Most well-known are her roles in George Lopez (2002 - 2007) and Marcela Quitanilla (mother Selena) in Selena (1997). She portrayed Regina Vasquez in the ABC Family/Freeform drama series Switched at Birth (2011-2017). She is currently playing Camila Diaz in the character from the Amazon Prime Video drama series Undone (1999). Marie began her acting career in her teens. She was cast in the film Salsa. Other credits on film and TV include Early Edition and Dirty Dancing, Selena and Spin City and Ally McBeal. Marie was selected for the role as Angie Lopez in ABC's comedy series George Lopez. Marie was a part of Jacqueline Obradors, Hector Elizondo and Elizabeth Pena in the 2001 comedy-drama Tortilla Soup. Also, she appeared on the PBS drama series American Family. In October 2007, she debuted her own clothing line "The Constance Marie Collection". She was also featured in an ad campaign for PETA that year encouraging pet owners to spay/neuter their pets. [3] Marie was the legal and birth mother of one of her daughters Regina Vasquez. She starred in the drama series ABC Family/Freeform Switched at Birth from 2011 to 2017.
